Home About Us Logistics

An integral part of Kitchen Craft’s continued success is warehousing infrastructure, total logistics management and distribution. As a leading kitchenware distributor in the UK, our strategically positioned warehousing and logistics facilities provide the flexibility to service our client’s individual needs and requirements.

We understand that all of our client’s have unique requirements dictated by their supply chain characteristics and sales strategies. Our fully customised warehouse can efficiently and cost-effectively manage a wide variety of client needs:

  • Kitchen Craft’s Logistics Team is based in a warehouse joined to the Head Office in Birmingham UK
  • We have over 170,000ft2 of warehouse space
  • Each year, Goods Inwards receive more than 1,000 containers
  • Deliveries are made to approximately 2,000 customers, both in the UK and overseas
  • Delivery volumes can range from 1 carton to a 40ft container load
  • We can work with any kind of carrier, from LTL to next day delivery
  • We can respond to any kind of unique program need
  • Often the Logistics team split / break down pallets, sometimes to single units, so as they can be re-packed. This can be an arduous and time consuming process, but highlights Kitchen Craft’s desire to provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • The number of Team Members required to operate the Warehouse effectively and efficiently varies depending on the time of year and the volume of stock requiring receipt and delivery
  • At its peak in the last quarter of the year, when Christmas orders are being prepared and despatched, this team can number up to 70.
  • Plans to introduce a second daily logistics shift are currently in development, the purpose of which is to ensure current service levels are both maintained and enhanced.

Delivery performance is measured on a monthly basis in order to ensure we are achieving the delivery timeframe commitments we have made to our customers. In May 2010, an on-time delivery success rate of 96.98% was achieved.
