Ingredients

3 large potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed

A pinch of salt

1 large white onion

1 green chili pepper, chopped

1 tsp. chili powder

2 tsp. garam masala

1 tsp. cumin powder

1 1/2 tbsp. grated fresh ginger

2 tbsp. dried white breadcrumbs

4 tbsp. flour

3 tbsp. chopped coriander

Vegetable oil for frying

Method

In a large saucepan, boil the potatoes for 8-10 minutes until soft enough to mash

In a large fry pan, fry the onions until slightly browned

Mash the potatoes with a little salt and add in the onions

Add the spices, ginger and coriander, flour and breadcrumbs and mix together with the potatoes and onions until evenly combined

Separate into 8-10 balls and slightly flatten each with your hands to form a patty

Add a little oil to the fry pan and fry each patty for a few minutes on both sides until golden
