As summer approaches, barbecue season is upon us! With all the bank holidays and sunny days (we hope) who doesn't love a barbecue! Everyone loves those sizzling ribs, chicken wings, burgers and hot dogs, but why not make them extra flavoursome with some amazing sauces and dips! We have pulled a few of our favourites together for you to give a try!

Rosemary and Garlic Dip
Perfect with spicy foods!
Ingredients
60ml soured cream
2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 clove garlic, finely crushed
1/2 tsp fresh chopped rosemary
A pinch of salt and pepper
Method
Combine all ingredients in a bowl
Add to a blender or food processor, and blend until you have a smooth consistancy
Refrigerate until ready to use

Mango and Lime Dip

Ingredients
2 mangoes chopped
Juice and zest of 1 lime
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
½ tsp ground cumin
A pinch of salt and pepper
Method
Combine all ingredients in a bowl
Add to a blender or food processor, and blend until you have a smooth consistancy
Refrigerate until ready to use

Ingredients
1 cup of chopped tomatoes
2 tsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
tsp. smoked paprika
1tsp worcestershire sauce
Method
Put all ingredients into a large saucepan and boil for 10 minutes
Reduce to a medium heat for a further 10 minutes
Remove from heat and once cooled blend in a food processor until smooth
Refrigerate until ready to use

Lemon and Dill Mayonnaise
The perfect accompaniment to delicately flavoured white fish
Ingredients
75ml olive oil
75ml vegetable oil
2 egg yolks
Zest of 2 lemons
Juice of half a lemon
A pinch of salt
A bunch of dill, finely chopped
Method
Whisk the egg yolks and add the oils in drop by drop, constantly whisking until a thin creamy consistancy is acheived
Pour in the remaining oil again whisking constantly until a thick glossy texture is acheived
Add lemon zest, juice, salt and dill. Mix to combine
Refrigerate until ready to use

Ingredients
4 tbsp. yellow mustard
8 tbsp. demerera sugar
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 red chilli, finely chopped
8 tbsp. white onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. black pepper
100ml beer
Method
Combine ingredients in a medium saucepan
Bring to the boil and cook for 7 minutes stirring occasionally
Refrigerate until ready to use

Broad bean, mint and feta dip
Perfect for dipping nachos or breadsticks
Ingredients
450g broad beans, thawed
1 garlic clove, crushed
100g feta, crumbled
1 tbsp. lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 tbsp. mint, freshly chopped
80ml olive oil
Method
Boil the broad beans in a medium saucepan 3 minutes until just tender and leave to cool
Once cooled, peel the skins from the broad beans and discard
Add the broad beans, feta, garlic and lemon juice into a food processor or blender and blen until almost smooth
Add the olive oil and blend for a further few seconds
Add the mint and blend again for 1 minute
Refrigerate until ready to use
